High Blood Pressure and the 3Highs

As usual, a good friday morning and got woken up by my 2nd child daughter. Anyways, got a good night sleep so ok to wake up this early 5.15am.

Just then, my phone vibrated and a whatsapp msg from my brother in SG. Showing me a photo of our mother's medications and the invoice. Was shocked that medicines are so expensive! So i asked him what's that medicine which costs few hundreds of dollars, he replied saying it's for thinning of the blood medicine and he added on saying, even his blood pressure pill costs $2.50 each. I was shocked as i had no idea he was on medication and asked further.

Apparently he decided to take on the high blood pressure medicine when he did his knee reconstruction on the ACL/LCL. His blood pressure are 160/90 so is tentatively high. High blood pressure actually runs in my family so 3 of us all are quite high. So i went to do a check myself. Still the same as before, 144/81. My pressure usually is around 130~140/80~90 so keeps me wonder about my future.

He went on to explain that having the pill each day makes his one day free of worries and he could breath much better and move with much clearer mind and more efficient. I do understand what he's saying, it's the feeling of feeling body lighter and refresher after a great exercise workout. He said that there were days he forgot to take and it was awful.

Then i asked him since he's on medication now, wouldn't that be lifetime sort of consumption and any possibility to stop eating the pill or any other sort of remedy. I ever saw a tiktok video featuring a wife blending daily morning juices for his husband who had 3highs and after 12months of discipline drinking of the juice and the diet, he was cleared of all 3highs...

Now i'm curious as to how can i actually reduce my blood pressure. I sincerely hope it could go down to normal 120/80 levels like other people. Yup that's about it. Currently I do take a 30mins walk around my area with my youngest baby every morning while a 5mins bicycle ride with my eldest son or middle daughter around my estate. I think i needed to do more to have a better health and life ahead.
